Grooming Services
Flawless Paws is currently unable to take on new grooming clients.
All grooms take place in the mobile salon right on your door step. As the appointment is at your home or workplace, there's no more time taken up struggling to get your dog into the car, driving, or trying to get parked near a salon. This means less stress for both yourself and your dog.
Grooms are completed on a one to one basis using only natural products and force free handling techniques. This means that your dog always has a choice, and will never be made to do anything they don’t feel comfortable with. Using only positive reinforcement, by praise and treats, your dog will be as stress-free and happy as possible during their grooming experience. Nicola takes pride in her work and level of care, spending extra time with young, nervous, elderly or rescue dogs which helps them to enjoy their groom. It is key to maintain a consistent grooming schedule that remains positive throughout your dog's life. The health and welfare of your dog is always the number one priority.
GET TO KNOW ME
I have always had a passion for animals since a very young age and have always had a dream of having my own business. After completing a business course with the Princes Trust I, Nicola, opened Flawless Paws in 2013.
I developed a good knowledge of animals through studying Animal Management at Oaklands College and gained further experience through working at local boarding kennels and RSPCA rehoming centre. This taught me about animal behaviour and different ways to handle stressed and nervous dogs.
After leaving the RSPCA I worked in a commercial grooming salon. This gave me the drive to fully train to become a dog grooming stylist. Since my initial training, I have completed my City and Guilds Level 3 Introductory Dog Grooming with the highest grades. I also attend regular seminars to continue developing my grooming, handling and dog behaviour knowledge.
In April 2019 the brand new grooming van arrived! This new van not only has a new table/bath combo, but is also fully insulated, has a state-of-the-art heating system and lots of natural airflow for those hot days too.
