Meet the team

Every business has a team behind it. At Flawless Paws VA, ours is a little more paw-forward than most.

Let me introduce you to the people (and more important the dogs) who make up Flawless Paws.

Nicola - Founder

I have spent my whole life around animals. From working in kennels and catteries as a teenager, to the RSPCA, to training as a dog groomer and opening my own grooming business at 21, animals have always been at the centre of everything I do. Outside of work you will most likely find me in a field somewhere, teaching hoopers classes, out walking or at a show with Dobby and Harley. Dog sport has been a big part of my life for years, from agility and rally to hoopers, and I still love being involved in that world both as a competitor and a trainer. I grew up in a village, and have never really left. It suits me and the dogs very well.

Dobby - Chief Cuddler

Dobby is my 11 year old apricot miniature poodle, although most people are convinced he is white. I rescued him at seven months old, a nervous little dog who had never even been on a walk before. With patience, training, and a lot of love, he grew into the most amazing companion, despite being dog reactive..

We've achieved a lot over the years and been on many adventures together. He loves a good cuddle and will lie on the sofa with me for hours. He is going a little deaf now and sleeps more than he used to, but his personality is exactly the same as it always was. Loyal, loving, and completely unbothered by work deadlines

Harley - Head of Snacks

Harley is my three year old apricot parti miniature poodle, which means he is partly coloured rather than solid. I decided to get a poodle puppy because Dobby has always had a soft spot for other poodles, and Harley did not disappoint.

Where Dobby is calm and cuddly, Harley is full of energy, loves to work, and will do almost anything for food. Except sit still for cuddles, which he finds deeply unreasonable. He is clever, enthusiastic, and keeps us both very much on our toes.

Why the dogs matter

You might wonder what two miniature poodles have to do with running a VA business. The answer is everything. Flawless Paws VA exists because of a lifelong love of animals and the people who dedicate themselves to caring for them. Dobby and Harley are not just pets. They are a daily reminder of why this work matters, and why the pet business owners I support deserve to have the space and support to do what they love without being buried under admin.
